Wojo has lived in Michigan most of his life, growing up in the Detroit area and graduating from the University of Michigan. Wojo has worked at the Detroit News since 1989, becoming a columnist in 1992. He has covered pretty much every major sporting event in the U.S. -- seven Olympics, numerous Super Bowls and Final Fours, the World Series, four Red Wings Stanley Cup championships, three Pistons championships and a healthy dose of bowl games. Starting his radio career in 1995, Wojo worked as PM-drive host at sports-talker WDFN-AM in Detroit from 1995-2009, as co-host of "Stoney and Wojo" show with Mike Stone. In 2012, Wojo joined Jamie Samuelsen on 97.1 The Ticket, and now is now part of the “Wojo & Riger Show”, with Jeff Riger. In addition to his radio and print work, Wojo’s chubby face keeps finding its way on TV. He has done work with Fox 2 in Detroit since 1999, including serving as one of the hosts of the Lions' pre-game show on Sunday mornings.
