
Bank Robbed In Southern Kent County; Suspect At Large
UPDATE: The suspect in a Tuesday morning bank robbery has been aprehended.
Kent County detectives in an unmarked vehicle spotted the suspect and called GRPD, asking for Grand Rapids units to conduct a traffic stop. Police arrested the suspect and one of the three other people who were in his car. That second person's connection to the case wasn't immediately specified.
Investigators say the suspect was taken to a hospital, because of something he ingested.
Authorities, including federal law enforcement, continue investigating.
Police have responded to a bank robbery in southern Kent County, WZZM-13 reports.
The Bank of America branch at 6737 S. Division Avenue in Cutlerville near the intersection of 68th Street and Division was robbed at around 11 a.m. Tuesday.
Students at South Christian High School are currently on lockdown as police search the area for the suspect.
The suspect escaped in a gray or silver vehicle, and was armed with a handgun.
