Dozens Sent to Hospital After Chlorine Release at Michigan’s Adventure
Fire trucks, ambulances and police rushed to Michigan's Adventure near Muskegon about 3:30 p.m. Friday afternoon after a chlorine release at the park's Lazy River and Wave Pool.
About 27 people were sent to the hospital, and 62 were evaluated. Most sent to the hospital suffered from respiratory issues.
Muskegon County Sheriff Dean Roesler confirmed that a combination of chemicals were somehow released into the wave pool, and combined to make chlorine gas.
Michigan's Adventure will remain open.
