Final Answer: Peter Cetera Out of Chicago Reunion

It's been a roller coaster ride for Chicago fans, but now it's official: Peter Cetera will not be joining the band for their Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction this year.

Cetera wrote yesterday on his website:

Unfortunately, this scenario doesn't work for me. I know we all did our best to make it happen, but I guess it's just not meant to be. Personally, I'm frustrated and tired of dealing with this, and it's time to move on. I have a life with two beautiful daughters and a solo career, and it's time to get back and give them all the full attention they deserve.

"I have to tell you... it's so weird," Band founder Robert Lamm told Billboard magazine, "I don't even know if our band is going to play. I don't know if it's going be a house band or Paul Shaffer playing. I have no idea. It'll all be worked out, I'm sure, but as to what I know now, it's very little."

Cetera and another former member Danny Seraphine are "joined at the hip", according to Lamm and if one shows up,so will the other.

If someone cold explain to me what the beef between Lamm and Cetera is, I'd sure like to hear it. We all get estranged from people in our lives, but there comes a time we set our differences aside. As a longtime fan, color my world disappointed.

I'll just remember the times like these when they got along.
