Popular Burning Foot Festival Ends Its 10-Year Beach Run
It's tough for festivals to maintain year after year like Burning Foot Beer Festival has in Muskegon, but it will be moving off the beach for its 11th year.
Festivals Come and They Go
Festivals come and they go including Ozzfest, Lollapalooza, Made in America, Firefly Music, and the Beale Street Music Festival. Lollapalooza went from a traveling festival, to going away, then returning to Chicago as a weekend festival, but essentially it's not the same.
The Venetian Festival lasted for 33 years in St. Joseph Michigan, before it retired in 2011. It was an event that went on near the beach along side Lake Michigan. It was a great event that had over 100,000 attendees each year. After a dispute between festival organizers and the city, the event went away and so did all the money that would come into the city during the event.

Burning Foot Beer Festival Shifts To New Location In 2026
The Burning Foot Beer Festival has been held on Pere Marquette Beach for the past 10 years. The event celebrates craft beer, music, and art. Attendees can sample beers from dozens of breweries, enjoy live music on multiple stages, and experience unique art installations like the flaming "Hop Tower". The festival also features food trucks, and offers camping.
According to FOX 17, after 10 years the Burning Foot Beer Festival is moving from Pere Marquette Beach to Heritage Landing in Muskegon. Organizers are making the move to offer more breweries, shorter lines and better accessibility while maintaining the event's core spirit.

The move will save around $70,000 in expenses and allows room for the festival to grow. Camping is still available with the event scheduled for August 29, 2026.
