Donkey Bitten by Dog, Ends in 13-Hour Standoff
According to TV6, what started as an animal-on-animal bite complaint to the Marquette County Sheriff's Office, quickly escalated in a 13-hour hostage situation and dog removal.
The problem started when a Skandia, Michigan resident by the name of Kyle Beauchemin's (31) dog allegedly bit his neighbors donkey. The neighbor reported the incident to the sheriff and when officers arrived at Beauchemin's home, there was no answer and left.
Officers returned an hour later for an alleged domestic violence and hostage situation. Beauchemin was in the residence with four children, his girlfriend, and over 25 pit bull mix dogs.
The sheriff's office got a warrant to arrest Beauchemin and a Michigan State Police Emergency Team was called in to assist.
Negotiators tried to get Beauchemin to leave the home peacefully, but after several hours the MSP Tactical Team made their way into the residence killing one of the dogs. Beauchemin's girlfriend, the four children, and the rest of the dogs were not injured.

Beauchemin was arrested and charged with alleged unlawful imprisonment and domestic assault. No word if he will be charged for his dog biting the neighbors donkey, or possessing a large number of dogs.
