Giant Dinosaurs Are Taking Over This Michigan Garden This Summer
This Michigan garden is known for flowers, peaceful walking trails, and the nation’s longest canopy walk.
Soon, add giant roaring dinosaurs to the list!
Dow Gardens in Midland is kicking off its “Dinosaurs Around the World” exhibit this Tuesday, May 19, and it’s running all summer long through September 8.
You know how it goes with kids in the summer. My nieces come in from Ohio every year, and it doesn’t take long before they’re bored of riding bikes down the same streets and hitting the same splash pads around town. Here’s something out of the ordinary worth the road trip!
Giant Roaring Dinosaurs Are Moving Into the Gardens
Starting next week, life-sized animatronic dinosaurs take over the gardens and Whiting Forest, including T. rex, Velociraptors, Spinosaurus, and Triceratops. Basically the whole prehistoric lineup dropped into a Michigan botanical garden!
They’re set along the walking paths and trails, and yeah, you’re probably doing a double take the first time one pops into view.
Cost is included with your admission to Dow Gardens or with the purchase of an annual pass. So you'll get access to everything else the attraction has to offer too!

And it's not super pricey. You'll pay $15 for adults and $5 for kids 4 through 17. An annual pass is $30 per person.
More Than Just Dinosaurs in the Trees
There are also themed events all summer, including “Dinos After Dark” where the gardens light up with glowing dinosaurs.
