Leo’s Grand Rapids Makes OpenTable Most Romantic List 2026

Still looking for proof Grand Rapids can hang with the big foodie cities? Here it is! Once again, a local restaurant has made OpenTable's list of the 100 most romantic restaurants in the nation—and it's the only Michigan eatery to do so!

Previousl lists have highlighted eastside dining destinations as the most romantic—spots like The Whitney and Wright and Company in Detroit. This time around, the westside of the Mitten State gets bragging rights.

OpenTable's ranking is based on millions of diner reviews and reservation data, so it's all about where people are choosing to celebrate Valentine's Day, date nights, anniversaries, and other big moments.

Leo's Seafood downtown! The upscale eatery first opened at 60 Ottawa Ave. in 2004 and has long been known for its elegant dining room, warm lighting, and attentive service.

The menu focuses on expertly prepared seafood, with popular starters like escargot, baked brie, steamed mussels, and oysters on the half shell. Entrées include favorites such as Chilean sea bass, branzino, walleye, swordfish, yellowfin tuna, lobster tail, and filet mignon. The restaurant also features an extensive wine list and indulgent desserts that frequently receive high marks from diners.

For a more relaxed experience, guests can opt for the bar and lounge, which offers the same cocktails and wine selections in a less formal setting, along with happy hour specials.

Leo's did recently announce new hours. The restaurant is open Monday through Thursday 11:30a.m. to 9p.m., Friday 11:30a.m. to 10p.m., Saturday 4:30p.m. to 10p.m. It's closed Sundays, though will be open on holidays like Easter and Mother's Day.
