Mel Tucker Records His Best Day In Two Years, Post-MSU
The former Michigan State Football coach has had a rough couple of years after being fired for cause, but recently had his best day in over two and a half years.
Why Mel Tucker Was Fired as Football Coach of MSU
Mel Tucker was fired as the Michigan State football coach "for cause," following allegations of sexual harassment against Brenda Tracy. The university cited a breach of contract, specifically involving moral turpitude and bringing public ridicule to the school.
The allegations against Tucker was that he engaged in inappropriate, non-consensual sexual acts over the phone with Brenda Tracy in April 2022. This led to MSU firing him without paying the remainder of his 10-year, $95 million contract.

The kicker is there were hundreds of text messages, allegedly showing Tracy aimed to financially benefit from a set up and suggested that her relationship with Tucker was consensual.
Former Michigan State Coach Mel Tucker Has His Best Day In 2 and a Half Years
According to WOODTV, a judge has dismissed Brenda Tracy's sexual harassment lawsuit against Mel Tucker, which was a request made by Tucker's lawyers. Tracy's initial lawsuit accused Tucker of masturbating without her consent during a phone call and repeatedly making unwanted sexual comments.
There were text messages Tracy had sent to a friend that stated she hoped Tucker would finance a documentary and indicated her lawsuit was her recourse for punishment. Tucker's defense team alleged the messages revealed a year-long plan by Tracy to target Tucker.
Tucker's attorney Andrew Abood said, "The best news (Tucker) has got in two and a half years."
Tucker still has an ongoing legal battle with MSU with a wrongful termination lawsuit to try and recover money owed to him from his contract.
