Maybe you’ve been to a backyard birthday party with a bounce house, or had the kids come home from the fair raving about the inflatable obstacle course they spent the afternoon running through...

Well, take that and turn it up several notches. What’s making multiple stops in Michigan this summer is not your average bounce house!

What Is The Royal Duck Bounce House?

It's called The Royal Duck Bounce House, and it’s basically a massive, traveling, inflatable theme park. It claims to be the world’s largest bounce house, and the numbers do seem to back that up! The Royal Duck features 23,000 square feet of inflatable obstacle courses, giant slides, basketball hoops, dodgeball zones, climbing areas, and even dance spaces. Here's a look from a previous stop on the tour:

As you might have guessed, it is, in fact, duck-themed. Fully enclosed, The Royal Duck is designed to feel like a high-energy play zone with a live DJ and music. You might be thinking, "How fun... for the kids." Yes, it is built for kids and families, but adults are totally welcome too!

Sounds like a blast, right? Plus, you gotta think, eventually the kids will get bored with riding the same bikes down the same streets, hitting up the same splash pads and playgrounds. And then you’re back to searching for something different to do in Michigan. Here's something out-of-the-ordinary that could be worth the road trip!

Where The Royal Duck Is in Michigan Right Now

Right now, the Royal Duck is set up at Oakland Mall in Troy, where it has taken over part of the parking lot and turned it into a temporary inflatable playground through July 21. Hours run Monday and Thursday from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m., and Friday through Sunday from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.
