A Camping Trip Mistake Just Won This Michigan Man $220,000
A Livingston County man accidentally bought two lottery tickets and ended up winning on both of them.

Paul Pattwell, of Pinckney, was able to match the Fantasy 5 numbers in the June 15 drawing to win the big prizes of $110,000.
He recently made the trip to Michigan Lottery Headquarters in Lansing to cash in his two winning tickets.

He shared with the Michigan Lottery how he ended up with two winning tickets.
“I’ve been playing the same sets of Fantasy 5 numbers for years and I play them every day. My wife and I were on a camping trip Up North, and I couldn’t remember if I had bought my Fantasy 5 ticket, so I stopped at the store and bought one.
“A few days after we got home from vacation, I pulled out over a week’s worth of tickets and started checking them. I recognized the June 15 Double Play winning numbers right away and was thrilled that I’d won $110,000! I called my wife and told her the big news.
“After I got off the phone with my wife, I started checking the rest of my tickets which is when I realized I had two tickets for the same drawing and won another $110,000 prize. I called my wife again and said: ‘You’re not going to believe this, but I won a second $110,000 prize!’ I couldn’t believe it.”
This lucky man isn't the only person to win big playing the Michigan Lottery.
A man visiting Michigan from Maryland recently won $1,000,000 playing a Lucky Numbers instant win ticket.
A Bay County woman who had been playing Lotto 47 for 20 years with the same numbers hit it big and won $1.1 million.
And an Oakland County woman playing Fantasy 5 online accidentally selected a wrong number that resulted in her winning $250,000.
