One Michigan woman just recently won herself a $100,000 lottery prize and it was all thanks to ChatGPT.

Michigan Woman Used ChatGPT To Pick Her Winning Lottery Numbers

Tammy Carvey from Wyandotte won $100,000 in the Powerball drawing held on September 6, 2025, after asking ChatGPT to generate a set of numbers for her lottery ticket.​

ChatGPT gave her the numbers 11-23-44-61-62 with Powerball 17.

These matched four white balls and the Powerball, qualifying Carvey for a $50,000 prize, which doubled to $100,000 thanks to the Power Play multiplier.

Carvey told the Michigan Lottery that she usually only plays Powerball when the jackpot exceeds $1 billion.

When it did, she bought a ticket online at MichiganLottery.com using ChatGPT’s suggested numbers.

After the drawing, she initially thought she won $50,000 based on a Google search, but later discovered via her lottery account that the Power Play doubled the amount to $100,000.​

Carvey knows what she's going to do with her new found money.

She plans on paying off her home and save the rest.
