Bauer shared with the Michigan Lottery how he knew he had won big:

I usually buy a few Powerball tickets online every week. After the drawing, I saw an email from the Michigan Lottery that said to log in to my account to view my prize, and I was shocked because I knew it meant I must have won big. When I logged in and saw $1 million pending in my account, I was so excited! Winning a prize like this takes the pressure off and I’m grateful that I will be able to share it with the people I love.

He plans to share the winnings with family and friends.

Bauer is not the only person in recent months to win big playing Michigan Lottery Games.

Grand Blanc lottery club won a million dollars playing the Powerball.

A Kent County woman who went out to get some late night food stopped at a gas station and ended up buying a winning ticket worth a million dollars.
