Playoff baseball is back in West Michigan, and the Whitecaps are giving fans plenty of reasons to get loud at LMCU Ballpark tonight. The West Michigan Whitecaps are bringing game two of the playoffs to Grand Rapids.

After a dominant 7–2 win on the road against the Lake County Captains earlier this week, the ‘Caps return to Comstock Park for Game 2 of the Midwest League Eastern Division Championship.

Fans heading to the ballpark tonight can expect more than just great baseball. The Whitecaps have rolled out special postseason touches, like a Plaza Party before the game, rally towels to wave from the stands, and some fun new concessions.

On the menu: the Playoff Twist Pretzel and the Title Wave drink (spiked with coconut rum to get you in the mood) and they’re both perfect for celebrating every strikeout and home run.

This isn’t just another playoff run. The Whitecaps are chasing their first Midwest League Championship since 2015, and they’ve got the stats to back up the hype. This season, they tied the franchise record for most wins in a season at 92–39, with a jaw-dropping .702 winning percentage.

That’s not only the best in the league, it’s the best mark by a full-season affiliate in Minor League Baseball since the 1997 Whitecaps.

They also led the entire Midwest League in hitting, pitching, and fielding, finishing the season with a +294 run differential which is the best of any pro baseball team in the country.
