Kentwood Police Department, District Courts, and Ducks!
The city of Kentwood's Justice Center is just what it says, the home of justice. The Kentwood Police Department is there. The 62-B District Court is there, along with other specialty courts, the Legal Assistance Resource Center, the Probation Department, and ducks! Yes, real ducks!

For the fourth year in a row, Mama Duck has decided the Kentwood Justice Center courtyard is the perfect place to raise her ducklings. Can you blame her? After all, the Justice Center is a great location with plenty of security!
This is so sweet and all of the employees at the Kentwood Justice Center and Kentwood Police Department have had so much fun watching this little family grow, as they posted on their Facebook page.

But you know, there comes a time when that young family must move on, leave the nest, so to speak. And that means ducks!
So, off they went. Momma duck and her kids, ducklings, needed the wide open spaces and water. The only way to get there was through the Justice Center.
They waddled on a tour through the Justice Center, strolled through a courtroom, a quick review of the jury seating area, and a few curious stops along the way before making their way outside.

Now, this trek was no easy task. I mean they were in their cozy, courtyard nest, and now must make their way through a maze of people rooms and corridors. What is a duck to do?
Easy. Good teamwork with Justice Center folks, police officers and all. Mama and her ducklings got a safe, first class escort outside where they went quacking on their way to continue their adventures.
See you next year mama duck!
