Is Dylan Larkin Ready To Leave The Red Wings Behind?
Dylan Larkin, the captain of the Detroit Red Wings, has reportedly requested a trade, but as of now, these are unconfirmed rumors.
Larkin has allegedly requested a trade, even though for the next two years his contract includes a no-trade clause.

For 10 consecutive years, the Detroit Red Wings have been out of the playoffs. There are rumors that Dylan Larkin is not only frustrated with the direction this team is going but there are also rumors that he’s got a bit of a tumultuous relationship with management. Again, this is all speculation at this point.
But everybody is reporting on this, and this is huge because Dylan Larkin is the Detroit Red Wings captain, but there are a lot of people who are saying that he may not be the best fit for Captain of this team.
Michigan's Exciting 'I Voted' Sticker Contest For 2026 Election
He was drafted in the first round in 2014, 15th overall. He’s been the team’s top-line center for nine years and basically the face of the franchise. Him joinging the Red Wings almost seemed like a perfect fit at first, considering he’s from Waterford, Michigan.
Sources like the Detroit Free Press have reached out for comment, yet no legit source has confirmed these rumors:
Larkin, who turns 30 this summer, is from Waterford, Michigan, is the captain of the Red Wings – as named by general manager Steve Yzerman – and a cornerstone of the team. He is also under contract through 2030-31 on a deal carrying an average annual value of $8.7 million.Sportsnet and ESPN both cited the contract demand, without naming sources. The Free Press reached out to multiple people within the organization for comment.
