This Michigan Store Is Impossible to Leave With Just One Thing
Dear Diary,
It happened again. I went to Horrocks for one thing—just one thing, I swear!
It was supposed to be a simple and innocent lunch run. Well, that was the plan...
Honestly, I should've known better than to walk into Horrocks hungry.
It Started With a Salad...
I walked in and didn't even grab a cart or a basket because I was determined to only grab lunch from the salad bar (one of the MANY amazing and ready to go lunch options at Horrocks).
But that salad bar is also right next to a rack full of desserts. So, I made a salad. And then maybe I grabbed some dessert. And then... well, things kind of spiraled out of control.
The 6 Items I Didn’t Plan On Buying
Here are six items that magically found their way into my cart somehow:
Locally Grown Flowers
Because somebody's got to buy me flowers.
Moo-ville Michigan-made Ice Cream
There's always room for dessert, especially when it's Michigan-made ice cream.
Horrocks Black Raspberry Jam
Do I already have a jar of Horrocks jam at home? Yes. Did I need this delicious-sounding jam too? Absolutely.
517 Coffee Co. Breakfast Blend Beans
Because I deserve to be deliciously caffeinated.
Vanilla Bean Sea Salt
I obviously need this to bring my brown butter dark chocolate chip cookies to the next level.
A Horrocks Sticker That Says 'Stay Peachy!'
Because life is hard—and stickers help. This bad boy made its way to my travel coffee mug where it lives next to a Frandor sticker.

Did I intend to spend $48 and change when I actually just went in for lunch? No. But, I have no regrets. Except maybe that I didn't also get some craft beer while I was there.
