Massachusetts Police Advise Residents Not to Chase Bears Through the Woods With a Hatchet While Drunk

What should you do if you see a bear? What you definitely should NOT do is chase it through the woods with a dull hatchet while you're intoxicated.

At least according to the police in North Adams, Massachusetts. A recent incident led to them having to post a warning about doing just that on their Facebook page.

According the the post, "chasing bears through the woods drunk with a dull hatchet is strongly not advised."

The man who actually did this the other night landed himself in jail. And police pose a pretty good question, "Any thoughts on what he was going to do if he did locate it? We would certainly like to hear because we have no idea."
