People Actually Called Police Because Facebook Was Down
As most people know, Facebook froze up for less than an hour this past Friday -- but it was just enough time for mass panic to kick in as police had to actually remind people that this was NOT a real emergency.
Sgt. Brink, a public information officer in Los Angeles County was forced to send out a tweet with this message:
“#Facebook is not a Law Enforcement issue, please don't call us about it being down, we don't know when FB will be back up!”
Quadruple facepalm.
Yup, humanity began to crumble as Facebook bros-- anxious to work on their game with attention-deprived chicks -- were greeted with this apology: "Sorry, something went wrong. We're working on getting this fixed as soon as we can.”
