Remember the Le Car?

Remember this gem of a car? Well, sorta. Check out this retro commercial from 1981.

I also found it interesting that this French car was available American Motors Dealerships. Kind of like buying a BMW at Chevy Dealer.

Whats more interesting is that this thing got nearly 50MPG in 1981! And here we are in 2011 trying to figure out a car that can do the same. The French already did it! Too bad the car was giant POS!
