Woman Found Dead Along Kent County Road

A woman was found dead alongside Patterson Ave. in Gaines Township Friday morning.

Kent County sheriff’s deputies and medical personnel responded to the call around 11:45 a.m. She was reported face down next to the road.

WZZM-13 reports that the female victim has only been identified as a 35-year-old white woman.

Police are treating the death as suspicious.

Patterson is currently closed between 76th and 84th streets while police investigate the scene.
