78-Year-Old Michigan Woman Collapses From Joy Over Lottery Win

A 78-year-old woman from Wayne County recently bought a winning Lucky 7's ticket from the Michigan Lottery.

The woman, who wished to remain anonymous, told the Michigan Lottery that she bought the ticket at Meijer in Southgate.

What happened next caused the woman's legs to give out from excitement.

“I stopped at the service desk at Meijer and told the cashier to give me a $10 Fast Cash ticket, so she picked the Lucky 7s game. I took it over to the Lucky Spot scanner and scanned it, but it wasn’t telling me if I won or not, so I handed it back to the cashier and asked her to check it.

“She walked back to the counter with a big smile on her face and told me I’d won, so I was thinking maybe $100 or $200. When she told me the winning amount, my legs gave out! I still feel like I’m in a daze.”

With her newfound money, she is going to put it into savings.

This lucky woman isn't the only person to win big playing the Michigan Lottery.
