Repp’s Landing opens on South Shore Drive

Repp’s Landing opened in mid-May on South Shore Drive in the former Tell-Tales Trattoria, Paisley Pig, and Black Sheep Grill space, across from Lake Macatawa.

The new restaurant comes from Bob Repp and Tessa Repp, who also co-own Hops at 84 East. After purchasing the property last year, they've been working to renovate it.

Bob Repp is the executive chef and a Holland native who has spent years working in local kitchens, joining Hops at 84 East in 2015, becoming a partner in 2020, and taking full ownership in 2025. He also won the James Beard Blended Burger competition in 2019.

The Repps say the new spot is all about "good food, good people, and a space that feels a little like your favorite gathering spot and a little like organized chaos in the best way." Here's a peek at some of their décor, inspired by the area's rich history.

Scratch-made Menu and Lakeshore Comfort Food

Repp's Landing is built around a chef-driven, made-from-scratch approach. That includes house-made sauces like its signature tartar and hot sauces, plus scratch-made sides and dressings that show up throughout the menu.

One of the standout features is a rotating oyster selection labeled as “Today’s Shuckin’ Selections,” available by the half dozen. Guests can order them raw with traditional accompaniments or broiled with gochujang butter and breadcrumbs for a richer take.

The rest of the menu covers a wide range of comfort-food favorites, from onion rings, cheese curds, and bar cheese with biscuits to smash burgers, steak sandwiches, and fried perch sandwiches.

Guests looking for a bigger meal can choose from options like fried chicken, perch dinners, and an 8-ounce wagyu sizzler. A full bar helps round out the experience.

A full bar rounds out the space, making it as much a casual hangout as a dinner stop near the lakeshore.

Location and Hours

Repp's Landing, located at 1642 South Shore Dr., is open Wednesday through Thursday 3p.m. to 10p.m., Friday through Sunday 11a.m. to 10p.m.
